Tapería A Avoa – tapas bar – Santiago de Compostela
Santiago de Compostela (the name means field of stars) has been a crossroad for centuries. Although it is rather easy to identify dishes that are typical to eat in Santiago, it is not so easy to determine which ones originated in the city of Santiago. Examples of Galician dishes worth-trying in Santiago de Compostela are the following:
The first dish in the list is with pulpo a feira .octopus- (which is a typical dish nearly everywhere in Galicia -probably above all in Lugo). The second dish is empanada (the filling can consist of scallops, tuna, cod, chorizo, or tuna, to name but a few). The third dish is Padron peppers (from the village of Padron in Galicia). We will end our shortlist with the famous Santiago cake.
