Siam Park is one of the best water parks in the world, and definitely the best in Spain. This giant water-slide-heaven is located on the Island of Tenerife, which is part of the Canary Island archipelago, located off the coast of Morocco.

The park is located in the city of Adeje, which is located on the southern portion of the island and is considered to be one of the most naturally beautiful spots of Tenerife.

The Canary Islands enjoy tropical weather patterns which make it the perfect location for a water park. Few activities are more enjoyable than hitting up a water park during a sweltering hot summer day.

What is Siam Park

For seven years now Tripadvisor users have chosen Siam Park, in Tenerife, as the best water park on the planet.  After seven years, the award comes as no surprise. The park is located in Costa Adeje in of the island of Tenerife (Canary Islands).

The park opened its doors in 2008 and occupies 85,000 square meters and features all kinds of rides that feature water as the main protagonist. It is one of the most visited theme parks in Spain

Construction on the park began in 2004 and cost 52 million euros. the park was set to open in 2007, but the construction hit complications and was moved back to September 17, 2008.

The park was originally going to include other rides like roller coasters, but due to the complications, owners decided to focus solely on the water park portion.

Siam Park is Thai-themed, and the park’s 25 buildings are the largest collection of Thai-themed buildings outside Thailand.

In fact, the park’s designer, Christoph Kiessling, received permission from the Thai royal family to use the park’s name and theme. The Royal Family only asked that no copies of the royal palaces, temples, or statues of Buddha were included in the park, and Mr. Kiessling complied.

You will find all sorts of slides, pools of all sizes and shapes, meandering rivers, exotic forests, shops, and several different restaurants.
