Mariposa Hotel Malaga – Review

The Hotel Mariposa Málaga offers impressive Art Déco rooms just 400 meters from the famous Larios street in Málaga. Every morning the hotel serves a complete buffet breakfast in the hotel’s restaurant.
The rooms are elegantly decorated and are equipped with air conditioning, a minibar, and a fully furnished bathroom.
The Hotel Mariposa Málaga is just 15 minutes on foot from the historical city center of Málaga, where you will find numerous bars and restaurants. The hotel is also located just 1 km from the Picasso Museum and the Cervantes theater. The Hotel is also just 10 minutes from the port and is only 1 km from bus and train stations.

Bedrooms at Mariposa Hotel Málaga 

Rooms at Mariposa Hotel Málaga are elegant and modern. The hotel has 50 rooms and suites available all of which share similar modern aesthetics. They predominantly use black-and-white furniture with chrome accents and gray floors. The room doors are jet black and have large silver numbers, following the whole motif. Some of the rooms break the relative monotony with bursts of color ranging from bright yellow to blue, or green.

All rooms are equipped with air-conditioning, free Wi-Fi, well-equipped and reasonably priced minibars, safes, and flat-screen TVs.

The rooms charming bathrooms have beige marble floors, white walls, and green marble vanities. All bathrooms have bidets, glass-enclosed shower half / tub combos, free toiletries, and hairdryers. Note that some guests have complained about noise from inside and outside the hotel.

Restaurants and food

The hotel does not have a formal restaurant. It does have, however, a cafeteria in the lobby where a daily buffet breakfast is served and a gorgeous rooftop terrace where some snacks are served. 

The hotel is also located in a great area of Málagawith plenty of bars and restaurants. So if you are looking for a bite to eat, you won’t have to look for long.  

Location

The hotel is located in downtown Málaga, in their Soho district. The hotel is minutes from the beach and just about 25 minutes on foot from the famous Malagueta beach.
