Do not expect however high-tech nor minimalist design here. This is a hotel where many of the original elements have been preserved and where decoration uses modern touches to provide a welcoming experience but without the aim to overshadow the building and its past. The fantastic parquet wood floors, the baroque stained glass windows, and other decoration elements are a tribute to the building’s past.
The hotel offers overall good value for money if we count on both its location and the overall quality of the premises.

The Catalonia las Cortes hotel is located very close to one of the top art galleries in Madrid: the Thyssen. the Thyssen Bornemisza is a fantastic museum located also very close to the Prado. The Thyssen boats an impressive collection of XIX century and early XXth century art.
