Bless Hotel Madrid – Review
The Bless Hotel is housed within a XIX century building in the upscale Salamanca neighborhood in the center of Madrid. This is an area with lots of boutique shops and high-quality restaurants. The hotel is 12 minutes on foot from the Puerta de Alcalá. and in a bit more than 5 minutes you will be enjoying a walk in Madrid´s top green lung, the Retiro park. The hotel features a rooftop swimming pool, a very rare item in central Madrid, a bowling alley!, a spa, and a full gym.
Rooms
All rooms are equipped with their own sound system, flat-screen TV, air conditioning, work desk, and private bathroom. Rooms are spacious and most have good views of this part of Madrid. They are all very spacious, larger than for hotels of its kind. Most rooms have fireplaces that provide a special atmosphere (despite they would not be needed!) and superior categories have dressing rooms and in-room bathtubs in the rooms so you could enjoy a bath with views over the city. Not bad! Out of all rooms, 215 is the most impressive one, with a terrace that includes a bath pool.
The decoration has an intention and it mimics the upscale apartments of this area of Madrid. If you stay at the Bless hotel you will get the feeling of what it is to live in this district of Madrid.
Services
The hotel also serves a daily buffet-style breakfast. The hotel restaurant, run by chef Martin Berasategui, has been awarded 10 Michelin stars since it opened its doors, and the hotel also has 3 different bars where guests can enjoy a drink.
Location
The Hotel is 1,4 kilometers from Retiro Park and 1,8 km from the Prado museum. The Adolfo Suárez Madrid-Barajas is 11km from the hotel. The Velazquez and Serrano metro stations are just 500 meters from the hotel.
Overall Review
Despite a first reaction when you enter the hotel may lead to wrong conclusions (like the idea that you are more at a restaurant than at a hotel), the Bless hotel Madrid is one of the best options to stay at a luxury 5 sar hotel in Madrid. We love most things about this hotel, but especially its rooftop terrace with a small swimming pool, perfect to refresh after a long day of visiting.
The size of the rooms (especially superior ones) and the swimming pool make this a good 5-star hotel to enjoy with children in Madrid.
The hotel makes you feel you are in Madrid, something we love. It also has an amazing restaurant and other services like a gym.
Why you would not like this hotel? If you enjoy ultra-modern hotels there are other 5 star options in Madrid that may suit you better. Also, if you enjoy being at a very short walking distance from the top attrations then you may also want to consider a different option (we have included some interesting alternatives to the Bless hotel Madrid below)
