Bar Omar is located just slightly outside of the center of downtown Barcelona. It is located near a trendy area of the city known as the Eixample. It is relatively close to the Egyptian Museum of Barcelona and Gaudí’s famous Batlló house, and right next to Turó Park.
If you want to get there on public transportation, the nearest metro station is the Muntaner train station just minutes away.
This tapas and raciones joint serves classic Spanish dishes, made for sharing, with excellent seasonal ingredients.
You will find classic ensaladilla russ, brave potatoes, roasted free-range chicken, Iberian ham croquette, honeyed burrata with marinated anchovies and smoked oil, mar y Montaña creamy rice, ock octopus with rustic potato puree, salmon tartare with papaya, and miso mayonnaise, and smoked steak tartare. All served in a laid-back, friendly environment.
Bar Omar isn’t the most inexpensive tapas joint in the city, but considering the high quality of the food, and the chilled ambiance, there is a lot to like about this gastrobar.
