As in all our hotel guides, the selection criteria chosen by our local Madrid team to select the best hotels in Madrid is a bit complex. The selection process starts looking at rankings and drawing a first semi-automated ranking. This is followed by a deep analysis of each property and, whenever possible with site visits.
We mainly love hotels with local character, but we understand many travelers prefer other styles of hotels, so we try to bring a good mix into the list of hotels in Madrid.
The location has also been considered. Hotels in Madrid´s city center tend to get overpriced, especially during the high season. So we have selected hotels from different districts to ensure a good price mix, but also to ensure some hotels are in neighborhoods considered as less touristic.
