Getaway at the Parador Santiago de Compostela: What to do?

The getaway to the Hostal of the Catholic Monarchs is a unique experience since you stay in a 15th-Century building next to the cathedral. In the city and nearby Santiago there are many things to do and that is why we will give you some tips.

Santiago de Compostela, being the Galician capital, has numerous monuments and tourist attractions starting with the Plaza de Obradoiro, an open-air museum-like square with the town hall (Pazo de Raxoi) and the cathedral. Here you will find different architectural styles such as Romanesque, Gothic and Baroque, and it is where the most important religious pilgrimage in Europe ends.

The city of Santiago has important museums like the Museum of Galician people which is located in the old convent of Santo Domingo de Bonaval. Here you will be able to learn more about the Galician culture, the traditions of this region and the history of its economy and people. We must certainly point out the triple helical staircase - something very beautiful and rare to see in similar buildings.
You will get to see the aforementioned and much more with this gastronomic getaway at the Parador of Santiago de Compostela.
