This getaway to the Parador de Almagro 4 * is perfect for history lovers. It is a town that has been declared a Historic-Artistic Site thanks to the large number of cultural attractions it has, with a few number of convents, palaces and museums. However, the jewel of Almagro is its Corral de Comedias. It is an open-air theatre, specific to Spain, and is the best preserved, declared as a Historic-Artistic Monument. It is not surprising that the theatre is one of the most important attractions of Almagro, highlighting the celebration of the International Festival of Classical Theatre.

However if you have to choose some of Almagro's essentials, apart from the Corral de Comedias, you cannot miss the Convent of Calatrava, a Gothic and Renaissance monument which was declared an Artistic Historic Site. It is important to mention that some theatre performances take place in its cloister. You also have to visit the Church of San Bartolomé, which was founded by King Philip III in 1602. Almagro had a Renaissance university which is definitely another interesting place to visit (located on the Convent of the Rosary).

From Almagro you can also take the Castles Route, where you will visit different fortresses, such as Calatrava la Vieja, Calatrava la Nueva, Salvatierra and Doña Berenguela. Lastly, you should not miss the opportunity to visit some natural attractions which are near the hotel, highlighting the Cabañeros National Park, Tablas de Daimiel National Park and Lagunas de Ruidera Natural Park.
