The day starts off early with a departure at 8:45am (8:30am check-in) from Carrer de Balmes (Barcelona). Here you will discover two of ‎Antoni Gaudí´s renowned, finely-decorated buildings: La casa Milà and Casa Batlló.

Barcelona coach city tour itinerary

The coach will take you past other fascinating buildings from the Modern Period before heading towards the sea, where you can observe the changes Barcelona underwent for the 1992 Olympic Games (for instance the creation of a man-made beachfront with sand from Egypt, stretching 2 miles). The coach tour then continues onward to Arc de Triomf (a gate constructed in 1888 for Barcelona´s World Fair), the picturesque Ciutadella Park, Olympic Village & Port, fisherman’s quarter (Barceloneta), Port Vell and Plaza de Colon – a beautiful square containing the Christopher Columbus monument. Does the exploring end here? Absolutely not.

There will be a brief stop at the Olympic Stadium, before the journey continues to Montjuïc, a well-known hill that overlooks Barcelona and has some hidden charms. Upon arrival, you will have a cable car ride which offers incredible panoramic views of Barcelona. When it is finished, the coach will pick you up at and the tour of Montjuïc will continue. Be prepared to discover all the hot spots of the 1992 Olympics Games including the Bernat Picornell swimming pool, Lluís Company’s stadium and St George´s Palace – an indoor sport arena (largest in Spain).

Next up is Poble Espanyol – a small, pleasant village created to mirror traditional squares, streets and buildings from all around Spain. Quite fascinating, right? After strolling through this alluring village, the coach will bring you back to Barcelona´s Catalunya Square via the Venetian Towers, National Art Museum of Catalunya, Montjuïc´s Magic Fountain (built for the 1929 International Exposition) and Las Arenas Shopping Mall which was once an ancient bull ring.

From the Catalunya Square, you will have a guided walking tour through Las Ramblas, the Gothic quarter´s narrow streets, the Cathedral Square and lastly the Sant Jaume Square where the government headquarters are. The tour comes to an end next to the Hard Rock Café (Catalunya Square).
