The region of Madrid’s wine production has been recorded since the 13th century.

Madrid’s rural country side has always been the opportune locations for wine production. When visiting the plains of Madrid, you will discover the agriculture that takes over the landscapes such as olive tree plantations, garlic, melons and vineyards.

During your stay, you will get to tour two local wineries and taste some of their best wines. Lunch includes three traditional Madrilenian food courses, wine and coffee before heading off to visit the lovely villages of the region (normally chinchon or Aranjuez are visited, though sometimes the schedule permits both of them to be visited) .
The two municipalities of Chinchón and Aranjuez are two important historical locations. Whilst visiting Chinchón you will get to discover the Main Square, a remarkable and historical location and one of the best preserved in Spain. The Catholic Monarchs designated the village of Aranjuez as a “Royal” site. This beautiful municipality is filled with gardens and palaces, deserving its title as a UNESCO world heritage. You will get to discover Spain’s history with the tour guide and with the senior guide, you’ll get to know the real Madrid.

Our guide did an excellent job and provided a once-in-a-lifetime experience! We got to visit everything from very small independent to large wineries and even the village of Chinchón. This is the tour for people who normally don't like group tours - the groups are small and in-depth. Winetourismspain's personal connections with the wineries and Raul's knowledge made for a tour that was delightful and unforgettable. For this level of personal interaction, as well as pick-up and drop-off directly at your hotel, the value of this tour can't be beat!

Just returned from our wine tour that lasted nine hours. The guide was an highly educated young man with good experience on the wine industry. The wineries were each different and fascinating. The "lunch" was fit for a king in a most beautiful spot. How on earth did you find such a perfect tour for the grand finale of our trip?

Great and personal tour: We had a really fine tour - just me and my wife - with Raul as our real dedicated guide, telling us a lot of background history of spanish tradition and winegrowing. Our visit to two very different winerys was great and a splendid experience. So was the lunch. We can only recommend.
